These dedicated individuals respond to structure fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and more. They also provide fire prevention education and community outreach that helps keep families safe year-round.

Volunteer Opportunities at Hamlin Fire & Rescue
At Hamlin Fire & Rescue, we’re always looking for motivated individuals ready to make a real difference. We offer a variety of volunteer roles suited to different interests, skill sets, and experience levels.
Whether you want to be on the front lines or support operations behind the scenes, there’s a place for you here.
Volunteer Roles Include:
Interior Firefighters
Trained to enter burning structures and perform hands-on fire suppression and rescue operations.
Exterior Firefighters
Support firefighting efforts from outside the structure, assist with water supply, equipment staging, and scene safety.
Drivers / Apparatus Operators
Operate and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles during incidents and training.
EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians)
Provide life-saving medical care during emergencies and assist with patient transport.
Fire Police
Help ensure scene safety by directing traffic during emergency calls and special community events.
Support Personnel
Assist with fundraising, community outreach, event coordination, administrative duties, and logistical support.
No Experience? No Problem.
We provide all required training, certifications, and hands-on instruction. If you have dedication and a willingness to serve, we’ll provide the tools you need to succeed.
