Donate Your Junker

By donating a vehicle to Hamlin Fire & Rescue, the donor acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:

1. Voluntary Donation
   The vehicle is being donated voluntarily, without coercion, and the donor affirms they are the lawful owner of the vehicle with the legal authority to transfer ownership.

2. Clear Title
   The donor certifies that the vehicle title is clear of all liens and encumbrances unless otherwise disclosed and accepted in writing by Hamlin Fire & Rescue.

3. Condition of Vehicle
   The vehicle is donated “as-is,” with no guarantees or warranties expressed or implied. Hamlin Fire & Rescue is not responsible for the condition of the vehicle prior to transfer.

4. Use or Disposition
   Hamlin Fire & Rescue reserves the right to determine the use or disposition of the donated vehicle, including but not limited to resale, recycling, training exercises, or department use.

5. Tax Deduction
   Hamlin Fire & Rescue does not provide tax advice. Donors are responsible for determining the value of their donation and should consult a qualified tax professional regarding potential tax deductions.

6. Release of Liability
   Upon transfer of title and possession, the donor releases Hamlin Fire & Rescue from any and all liability related to the vehicle.
